I’m a mixing engineer, producer, multi-instrumentalist, and piano technician based in Mankato, MN. My passion for music was sparked early on by my father, Victor Soto, a concert pianist, professor, and master piano technician, who deeply influenced both my musicality and technical discipline.
Mixing is at the heart of what I do. I specialize in taking raw recordings and crafting professional, emotionally impactful mixes that elevate an artist’s vision. I work across a range of genres including folk, singer-songwriter, pop, rock, worship, metal, and instrumental music. I use tools like Ableton Live, Logic Pro, FabFilter, and UAD plugins to deliver balanced, dynamic, and immersive mixes that are release-ready.
In addition to mixing, I’m passionate producer and performer. I’m proficient on bass guitar, electric/acoustic/classical guitar, keys, and alto saxophone, and I often collaborate closely with artists from songwriting through final production. I received live sound training at Paisley Park in Minneapolis and have worked stage crew for the MPLS Funk All-Stars. I currently run A1 and A2 sound at the Mayo Event Center.
As a piano technician, I also specialize in tuning, action regulation, and restoration, skills passed down through hands-on training from my father.
I’m always open to connecting with artists, producers, and studios looking for a passionate mixing engineer with a strong musical and technical background. Whether you’re looking to collaborate on a project, need post-production help, or just want to connect and share ideas, feel free to reach out.
